Privacy Notice

This notice describes information handled when someone visits Red River Parish Released Inmates, uses an outside search box, or sends a message. It also explains cookies, service providers, disclosures, security, choices, and policy changes. Government sites and linked services follow their own privacy rules.

Information We Receive

Information can arrive in three ways. A message voluntarily sent to us may include a name, email address, and whatever the sender writes. A search entered in a third-party search box passes to that provider under its own policy. Standard technical records can include IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, and broad location derived from network data.

Cookies and Similar Tools

Cookies and comparable browser storage may support site operation, preferences, traffic measurement, advertising, and partner attribution. Analytics and advertising providers may set or read their own identifiers. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, though some features may then work differently.

How Information Is Used

Collected information may be used to operate and secure the site, respond to messages, understand traffic, diagnose errors, improve content, measure referrals, show advertising, and prevent misuse. Search terms sent through an outside search box are used by that provider to return results and may be handled for its own stated purposes.

Who May Receive Data

Information may be shared with search partners, hosting and technical vendors, analytics services, and advertising networks when needed for their functions. It may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or site security. Personal information is not sold as a standalone contact list.

Links and Outside Services

Links lead to the Red River Parish Sheriff, Louisiana DPS&C, court portals, federal locators, statutes, and other independent services. Those destinations control their own collection, cookies, security, and retention. Review the destination's privacy notice before submitting personal data. This site's notice cannot govern an outside service.

Security and Retention

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for operations, legal duties, dispute resolution, security, and the purpose for which it was supplied. A message may be deleted when it is no longer needed.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This service is intended for adults and is not directed to people under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask to know, correct, or delete personal information supplied directly to us, or object to certain handling. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed. Browser settings control cookies, and email settings control messages. Rights concerning information sent directly to a search or analytics provider must be exercised with that provider.

Louisiana Public Records

Official jail, court, and release records are held by government custodians under Louisiana law, including the Louisiana Public Records Act at R.S. 44:1 and following. This site does not control those agency records. Privacy or access questions about an official record must be directed to the agency that maintains it.

Changes to This Notice

This notice may be revised as practices, services, or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted. Continued use after a revision means the current notice applies to later activity.

Privacy Questions

Questions about this notice may be sent through the Contact Us page. Custody, release, or government-record questions must go to the appropriate official office.
